After a year of cancelled rehearsals due to Coronavirus restrictions, the GSO reunited during the early summer months for a series of informal get togethers. Using a new venue - Christ Church in Guildford - the orchestra were able to perfom again in a covid-safe enviroinment. During the short series of rehearsals the orchestra covered a range of classic symphonies such as Sibelius 2 and Brahms 4. These early sessions have paved the way for the resumption of more regular rehearsals during the Autumn term. With the confirmation of the first concert since lockdown taking place on 20th November the orchestra will be focusing exclusively on Brahms - the German Requiem and 1st Symphony.
